Minimal rise in SSC pass percentage

May 01, 2002: Hyderabad: As many as 5,69,240 students cleared the Secondary School Certificate examinations, registering a pass %age of 67.89 and clocking a 2.78% increase over last year’s 65.11.

School education minister M Venkateswara Rao released the SSC results here on Tuesday. While 9,82,166 candidates took the exams, 4,18,774 regular and 1,51,466 private candidates passed

EAMCET prelim key released

May 02, 2002: Hyderabad: Technical Education Minister M Damodar Reddy on Wednesday released the preliminary key of EAMCET -2002 and invited objections, if any, from students, teachers and parents.

The key comprises answers to the questions asked in the examination conducted on April -29 all over the State. Nearly 1.92 lakh students took the examination.

Boys top ranks but girls excel in overall results

May 11, 2002: Hyderabad: Girls outsmarted boys in the overall performance in the Intermediate Second Year public examinations, but boys swept eight of the top 10 ranks. All the top ranks were secured by students in the Maths stream, and a Nellore college grabbed the top three ranks.

School Education Minister M Venkateswara Rao released the results here on Friday in place of Higher Education Minister K Ramachandra Rao who was indisposed.

As many as 44.58% of girls cleared the examinations as against 36.9% boys. The over all pass %age went down from 49 in 2001 to 47.01. Out of the 4,09,639 regular candidates, 1,92,580 passed in the examinations.

Boys lead ranks in three streams

May 18, 2002: Hyderabad: As many as 88,466 boys and 36,681 girls qualified in the engineering stream and 18,024 boys and 17,787 girls were successful in the agricultural and medical stream in the EAMCET-2002 held on April 29 this year.

Technical Education Minister M Damodar Reddy said that the results were released in a record time of 18 days. He said the counseling-cum-admission process would also be completed without delay

Girls fare better in VII exams

May 19, 2002: Hyderabad: Girls fared better than boys in the Class VII examinations in Hyderabad this year. The %age of girls who passed the examination is 93.3 while the pass %age of boys stands at 92.46.

Announcing the results on Saturday, collector Rajeshwar Tiwari said out of the 1,178 schools in the district, students in 353 schools secured 100 % results. Mark sheets will be issued in schools from May 26.
