CIEFL CoursesAug 14, 2006: August 17, Hyderabad: Hyderabad Central Institute of English and Foreign Langauage offering PG Diploma in English Teaching, M.Phil (English Literature), M.Phil (L & P), M.Phil (ELE). Candidates should have passed i).PGCTE from CIEFL, ii).PGCTE DTE (CIEFL), MA in English with 55 % and other specifications. Application forms can be obtained till October 15, 2006, through a DD for Rs. 300 (Rs. 150 for SC/ST/PH) from the CIEFL, Hyderabad – 500 007, or download the same (with full details) from www.ciefl.ac.in October 31, 2006 is deadline for submission of the applications. HCU Offers 5-year PG coursesAug 14, 2006: August 17, Hyderabad: Central University of Hyderabad has introduced an integrated 5-year course of graduation and post graduation in the streams of M.A and M.Sc.,A first of its kind in the state of Andhra Pradesh to be introduced these courses barring entrance test will enable Intermediate passed students to pursue higher education directly at one go. While M.A stream will offer Telugu, Hindi, Language Sciences, Psychology and Economics, M.Sc., will have Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Chemical Sciences and Systems Biology. Mandatory: Since pursuing an entire five year course is mandatory, no student will be given any degree if he fails to continue. A cost effective fee of Rs. 3,000 for admission and an additional Rs.1,000 towards hostel facility per semester will be collected. 'Online' Eamcent Counseling from Sept 4Aug 16, 2006: August 17, Hyderabad: NTR University of Health Sciences will conduct 2nd phase conseling for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for 2006-07. A seven-day online conseling will be held in five selected places in the state to fill up the vacant seats and those of five newly permitted BDS colleges. JNTU ClassesAug 19, 2006: August 19, Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University will begin its classes for various undergraduate and Post Graduate courses from August 21 in all of its constituent and affiliated colleges. The classes for first year BFA will begin on Monday, B.Tech classes will commence on August 28 and the same for JNTU Engineering College in Pulivendula will begin on August 31. Similarly the classes for B. Arch will start on September 1 and the first semester for M.Tech, MCA, M. Arch, M.Sc., and MURP will start on September 4. LLLB ClassesAug 19, 2006: August 19, Hyderabad: The classes for first year three-year and five-year LLB courses will begin on August 28. The students who have got admission should report to the principals in their respective colleges along with admission cards on the same day. Gate mock test on Sept 3Aug 25, 2006: August 25, Hyderabad: Gateforum is organising an all-India free mock test for the aspirants of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) on September3, 2006. It will be conducted in the engineering streams of CSE, ECE, EE, ME, IT and Pharmacy. Wesley High School near Paradise Hotel (Secunderabad) is the venue for the test in Hyderabad.
