Training of Craft Instructors
The next session of Craft instructor Training Course at Advanced Training Institute (Formerly Central Training Institute) established by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India. Directorate General of Employment & Training Gill Road, Ludhiana will commence from 1st August 2003.
The Training is imparted in the following trades in the institute.
1. Electrician
2. Fitter
3. Machinist
4. Turner
5. Welder
6. Mechanic (Farm Machinery)
7. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
Duration of Training: The duration of training is one year.
Qualifications: Candidates who are Matriculate and between 18 to 40 year of Age & have passed a Diploma in Engineering or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the concerned trade or National Trade Certificate with one year Practical Experience in the concerned trade only need apply, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
Certificate: Successful trainees are awarded Certificate of Proficiency by the National Council for Vocational Training, Government of India, Ministry of Labour. They become eligible for appointment as Craft Instructors at Industrial Training Institutes etc.
Reservation: Out of sanctioned strength 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes & 5% for Scheduled tribes 3% for persons with disability candidates subject to eligibility & availability of seats after allotment to the Government deputed candidates.
Admission: Admission for Instructor Course would commence from 1st August, 2003.
Fee & Deposits: (i) Nominees of Government I.TIs Nil (ii) All other nominees/candidates Rs.30/- per month or part there of per trainee (iii) Caution Money (Refundable) from all candidates Rs.50/- (iv) Gymkhana Rs.5/- per month per trainee from all the candidates. (v) Library Security (Refundable) as Hostel Caution Money.
How to Apply: Candidates desiring admission may contact the Director, Advanced Training Institute, Gill Road, Ludhiana-141003 (Punjab) & apply in the prescribed Application Form obtainable by depositing Rs.15/- (Cost of form Rs.5/- & Registration fee Rs.10/-) in Cash or Uncrossed Indian Postal Order in favour of Drawing & Disbursing Officer, Advanced Training Institute. Gill road, Ludhiana-141003, payable at the Post Office at Ludhiana on and also enclose a self addressed unstamped envelope of size 11 cm x 25 cm.
Last date of Receipt of Application Form at this Institute 30th June, 2003.
Others: (ii) (a) The candidates sponsored by the Director of States/Union Territories incharge of Craftman Training will be given first preference.
b) If seats will remain unfilled after reserving for (a) above, the seats will be offered to affiliated it is/ITCs, Government of India undertaking & Industrial organisations on strictly first come first serve basis.
c) For the seats remaining unfilled after reserving of seats for (a) and (b) above the seats will be offered to private candidate on “Merit basis only”
(ii) No Change of Trade Field as well as the Institute will be allowed after the Instructor trainee is admitted in particular trade in the Institute.
(iii) All the Heads of the private affiliate Institute affiliated ITCs and candidates of Govt. of India undertaking and other related organisations may apply in prescribed form for the trades available at this Institute for one year Instructors Training course. There should be separate application for each candidate.
(iv) Directorate General of Employment & Training, New Delhi also reserves the right to discontinue any trade at its discretion without assigning any reasons and issuing notice.
(v)No applications for admission to the Instructor Course shall be entertained at the DGET Head quarters.
(vi)The Application Form must contain the attested copies of Certificate with two passport size photograph duly attested on the Application Form. SC/ST candidates enclose attested copy of the Caste Certificate, duly attested, from Competent Authority.
(viii) Applications received without enclosures or after the expiry of last date of receipt of applications i.e 30th June, 2003 shall out rightly be rejected.
(ix) Every effort will be made to accommodate the candidates in the trades asked for by the sponsoring organisations.
(x) Director, Advanced Training, Institute, Ludhiana reserves the right to discontinue or alter any trade at its discretion without assigning any reason and notice.
(xi) Candidates applying for the Instructor course in Mechanic (Farm Machinery) must note that the candidates who possesses the National Trade Certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade Mechanic (Agriculture/Farm Machinery) will be given 1sst preference only if the seats are available after admission of Mechanic (Agriculture/Farm Machinery) candidates the candidates who possesses the National Trade Certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the Trade of Mechanic Tractor will be considered for admission.
