Ph.D/M.S Admission – July 2004
Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D/M.S programmes under Regular, External Registration and M.S (Sponsored) schemes with and without Half-time Teaching/Research Assistantship (HTRA) in the Departments of Aerospace Engg., Applied Mech. (including Bio-medical Engg.) Biotechnology, Chemical Engg., Civil Engg., Computer Science & Engg., Electrical Engg., Mechanical Engg., Metallurgical & Materials Engg., Ocean Engg and in the areas of Chemistry. Maths, Physics, Management (all areas), English, German, History, Philosophy, Economics, Psychology, Sociology and allied areas.
Prescribed application forms along with the Admission Brochure giving information about minimum qualifications, eligibility norms, research areas in all the departments, HTRA details can be obtained by sending a request along with a self-addressed envelope (24 x 11 cm) stamped for Rs.20/- to the Deputy Registrar (Acad.), IIT Madras, Chennai 600036 on or before 08/04/2004. The envelope must be superscribed as “Request for application for Ph.D/M.S Programme”. Application forms can also be downloaded from the website http://www.acadadmission.iitm.ac.in the completed application form should be sent along with a demand draft for Rs. 250/- (Rs.125/- only for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “IIT Madras” payable at Chennai. A separate application form should be submitted for each Department. The last date for receipt of completed application form along with enclosures is 16/04/2004
